The
rear axle differential assembly in my 1964 Chevy C60 was actually a replacement unit. The first (and
I'm assuming original) rear axle differential assembly was in the dump bed when I purchased the truck.
Curious to why it had been replaced I decided to take it apart and try to determine the reason for its
replacement.
